Biosketch: Dr. Aydelotte received his medical degree from UTHSCSA in 1998. He completed a residency in General Surgery and fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at Brooke Army Medical Center in 2006. He has been a staff surgeon in General Surgery and Surgical Critical care at Walter Reed Army Medical Center where he was the Surgical Director of the SICU and Chief of Trauma Surgery. Dr. Aydelotte was a trauma surgeon at the 28th Combat Support hospital in Baghdad, Iraq in 2007 and was the Chief of Surgery for the 47th Combat Support Hospital in Iraq in 2009. Dr. Aydelotte is board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. He separated from the Army in April of 2011 and joined the faculty of the Division of Trauma in May. Dr. Aydelotte's interests include motorcycle-associated injury prevention, new product development, and surgeon physical fitness.
