Biosketch: Dr. Bohnenblust grew up in Texas and graduated with a B.S. in Bichemistry from Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana. She completed medical school in 2004 and completed her general surgery residency in 2010, both in San Antonio at the UT-Health Science Center. She has also obtained her Master's in Public Health at the UT Health Science Center in Houston School of Public Health.
She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Her clinical interests include colon, biliary, abdominal wall reconstruction, and hernia surgery as well as endoscopy. Her research interests include adipocyte stem cells, abdominal wall reconstruction, plastic and reconstructive surgery and access to surgical care.
