Biosketch: Dr. Allen C. Whitford, DO graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 1992 from the University of Oklahoma. In another life he was a Special Forces Medic during the Vietnam War and a Physician Assistant with the United States Army Special Forces. He attended the Des Moines University of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, earning his DO in 1996. Following medical school, Dr. Whitford completed a Transitional Year internship at Brooke Army Medical Center from 1996–1997 and an Emergency Medicine residency from 1997–2000. Dr. Whitford joined the Division of Emergency Medicine as an Assistant Professor in 2003.
